Building Operator Certification® (BOC) Training

Building Operator Certification (BOC) is a nationally recognized training and certification program focusing on energy-efficient building operations and preventative maintenance procedures. Independent research shows that BOC operators consistently improve comfort and save money and energy in their facilities — up to $20,000 a year — thanks to energy conservation projects, air quality improvements and other initiatives.

BOC LEVEL I: Building Systems Maintenance
Sept. 14 – Oct. 26, 2017  |  8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Location: Illinois Farm Bureau
1701 Towanda Avenue, Bloomington, IL 61701

BOC Level I training includes eight sessions held every Thursday, nearly 74 hours of classroom, and project work (7.4 CEUs) in building systems maintenance. Participants must complete seven required courses, open-book exams, and projects to become certified. The first course spans two days (Sept. 14 and Sept. 15, 2017).

During the seven required courses, operators will receive an overview of the building shell and review the design and maintenance of energy-using systems and equipment.
