Advanced Rooftop Controls (ARC) are a high-value and cost-effective energy efficiency tool for a wide variety of commercial energy users. Any energy user with a rooftop unit on their site is likely to benefit from this technology.
The ultimate goal of the Pilot Program is to ensure Ameren Illinois customers and HVAC contractors in the Ameren Illinois service territory are familiar with the technology and able to source and install ARCs for any customer who may benefit from retrofitting their rooftop units to operate more efficiently. There is also a defined energy-saving measure already available through the standard HVAC Application to provide incentives from the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program.
