We’re excited to announce the EARLY COMPLETION BONUS for Business Program energy efficiency projects finished in Program Year 2027. With this bonus, your facility can still receive up to 15% more incentive dollars to use toward your energy efficiency projects (see payout chart for details).* This not only reduces your out-of-pocket costs, but also helps to shorten your project payback period even further!
When you complete energy efficiency projects and submit applications to the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program, the bonus will be calculated automatically without the need for any additional paperwork.
*This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offers or bonuses. Only non-residential customer projects are eligible for this bonus. This bonus does not apply to the Online Store, Instant Incentives, Small Business Direct Install projects, Staffing Grant, Strategic Energy Management (SEM), Metering & Monitoring, Feasibility Study, Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx) or Building Energy Assessment (BEA). Bonuses are capped at $10,000 per project. Project and paperwork must adhere to all Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program guidelines and requirements. This Bonus is based on Program funding and may be suspended at any time. Projects must be completed on or after January 1, 2027. Projects that had financial commitment or were pre-approved prior to September 15, 2026 are not eligible for the incentive bonus. Projects must be completed by September 30, 2027.

But wait, there’s more! If you’re an Ameren Illinois Business customer who purchases and installs Illinois-manufactured products in your facility while completing an energy efficiency project, you’ll also receive the MADE IN ILLINOIS BONUS! If your project qualifies, your facility can receive 5% incentive dollars added to your Early Completion Bonus to help support Illinois manufacturing. See payout chart for details.
Equipment must be at least 50% manufactured and/or assembled in Illinois (exclusive of packaging and installation); product installation is not considered “assembly.” The project must be completed between Jan. 1, 2027 and Sept. 30, 2027.
