Lighting comprises 17% of all electricity consumed in U.S. commercial buildings. One of the fastest ways to save energy is by making the switch to ENERGY STAR® certified LED lighting.
LED Lighting
Compared to conventional lighting options (like incandescents, fluorescents and halogens), high-efficiency LED lights use less energy, cost less to operate and can last up to 25 times longer. By switching to LEDs, you can reduce lighting-related costs in your facility by as much as 90 percent, while creating a safer and more comfortable environment for employees and customers.
Networked Lighting Controls
Networked lighting controls use sensors, network interfaces and controllers to make changes to your lighting system — allowing you to fine-tune, measure and monitor your system from a phone, tablet or workstation while generating data to improve operational efficiency. Luminaire level lighting controls (LLLCs) are a subset of networked lighting controls that integrate sensors and controls into each fixture.
LED Street Lighting
For municipalities and public sector organizations, upgrading older street lighting fixtures to more efficient LEDs can reduce energy usage by 30-50%, potentially saving thousands of taxpayer dollars! How to Apply
There are multiple ways to receive Ameren Illinois lighting incentives. Our lighting options guide and application guide can help you determine which incentive(s) best fit the scope of your project. Please refer to the Typical Lighting Wattages guide when preparing your application — or save time by applying through the Amplify Online Lighting submission tool.
Pre-approval is required for all incentive requests $10,000 and over. Contact your Energy Advisor or Program Ally contractor with any questions.

Small Business Direct Install (SBDI)
The Small Business Direct Install (SBDI) Program helps small business customers — including local governments, municipalities and public schools — reduce energy costs through the direct installation of lighting and refrigeration products by a Small Business Program Ally contractor. Business Online Store
Ameren Illinois business customers can visit the Business Online Store for discounted energy-efficient products — including LEDs, occupancy sensors, smart thermostats and more — with all the convenience of online shopping!
Instant Incentives
The Instant Incentives program offers instant discounts for equipment purchased directly from a participating distributor — no application or paperwork required! Qualifying equipment includes: LED linear tubes (replacing T8 And T5 fluorescents), LED mogul bases (E39 replacements for HIDs), LED 4-pin base lamps for CFLs, LED exit signs, and LED wall packs.
